Confidentiality agreements
Every person must accept Kinovo’s care-team confidentiality agreement before opening an active workspace membership or receiving ordinary workspace content.
Who this article is for
Everybody invited to join or rejoin a Kinovo care team
Where to find it
- After joining or receiving approval, Kinovo opens the confidentiality agreement before the workspace.
- If you choose Not now, the agreement will appear again when you next try to open the locked care team.
Why the agreement is required
Kinovo workspaces can contain private care information. The agreement establishes a clear minimum expectation for every account before that membership can access the workspace.
Until it is accepted, the care team remains locked for that account. Kinovo also suppresses ordinary workspace-content notifications for a confidentiality-pending membership.
What you agree to
- Use workspace information only to support, coordinate, review or understand the care of the person the workspace is about.
- Do not share documents, images, videos, messages or other workspace information with unauthorised people.
- Take reasonable care with downloaded or stored files, devices, email accounts and shared folders.
- Do not upload information you are not authorised to share with the care team.
- Tell the Team leader promptly if information may have been shared with the wrong person or downloaded in error.
- Treat Kinovo as a private coordination workspace—not a public record, medical record or publishing channel.

What Kinovo records
Kinovo records the acceptance time, agreement version, accepting account and basic technical audit information such as IP and browser user-agent data. This helps show which membership accepted which agreement.
The agreement is personal. Another member cannot accept it for your account, and sharing somebody else’s login does not satisfy the requirement.
Downloads and confidentiality concerns
Before certain downloads, Kinovo asks you to confirm that the file may contain private care information and will be kept confidential for the agreed purpose.
If information appears to have gone to the wrong person, tell the Team leader promptly. For a security concern, use security@kinovo.com.au; for an information-handling or access concern, use privacy@kinovo.com.au. Do not attach sensitive care content unless Kinovo asks through an agreed secure channel.
The agreement does not create authority
Accepting confidentiality does not give permission to upload, use or disclose information you are not otherwise authorised to handle. Consent, professional duties and legal obligations still apply.
Still need help?
Tell Kinovo support what you were trying to do, which page you were on and what happened. Do not include sensitive care information unless support specifically asks for it through an approved channel.
