Everyday coordination

Writing notes and setting reminders

Keep a private working note for your own follow-up, optionally link it to care-team work and set a reminder that returns it to your attention.

Who this article is for

Any signed-in care-team member who needs private working notes

Where to find it

  • Open Notes inside a care-team workspace and choose Add note.
  • Professionals can also choose Private note from the Action Centre Create menu after selecting a client.

Notes are private to their author

A Kinovo note is a personal working record. Only the author can view, edit, archive or delete it. It is not a shared team update and it does not notify other people.

Use a shared message, task, document or Care Protocol instead when the care team needs to see or act on the information.

Write a note

  1. 1

    Add the title and date

Use a title that will make sense when the note resurfaces later and record the relevant date.

  2. 2

    Choose the type

Choose General, Appointment summary, Phone call, Observation, Decision, Evidence note or Follow-up context.

  3. 3

    Write the note

Record only the private working detail you need. An optional topic can make searching easier.

  4. 4

    Link useful context

Optionally link a goal, task, document, document pack or Care Protocol without changing that item’s visibility.

Set a reminder

Choose a reminder date and time and add a short reminder message. Kinovo interprets the time in your browser’s timezone and stores it consistently.

When due, the reminder can appear on your dashboard, Action Centre and notifications. Opening it shows the private note—not a task popup—and only you can see it.

Find and organise notes

  • Search and filter your notes inside the selected client workspace.
  • Edit a note or reminder when the follow-up changes.
  • Archive a note to remove it from the active list while retaining it.
  • Delete it when it should no longer be kept.

A reminder is not an assignment

Use the right coordination tool

A note reminder helps you remember your own work. Create a task when another person must respond, and use a shared message when the team needs a conversation.
