Resetting a password
Kinovo’s password-reset flow sends a secure, time-limited email link and allows a new password only after that link establishes a valid reset session.
Who this article is for
Anyone who has forgotten their Kinovo password or needs to replace it
Where to find it
- On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password?, enter the account email and complete the security check.
- Open the password-reset email, follow its link to Set new password, then return to sign in.
Request a reset link
- 1
Choose Forgot password?
The sign-in form changes to Reset password while keeping the email field available.
- 2
Enter the account email
Use the email address connected to the Kinovo account.
- 3
Complete the security check
The Send reset link button becomes available after the current Turnstile challenge produces a valid token.
- 4
Send the request
Kinovo displays the same privacy-preserving success message whether or not an account exists for that address.
Set the new password
Open the reset email and use its secure link. Kinovo verifies the code, creates a reset session in that browser and opens the Set new password form.
Enter the new password twice. It must contain at least eight characters and both entries must match. After the update, Kinovo signs out the temporary local reset session and returns to sign in.
Use a current reset link
If Kinovo says the reset link could not be verified, the link may have expired, already been used or no longer be valid. Return to the sign-in page, request another reset and use the latest email.
Open the email link in the browser where you want to complete the reset. The new-password form remains locked unless Kinovo can confirm the reset session.
If the reset email does not arrive
- Check that the email address was typed correctly.
- Check Spam, Junk and organisation email quarantine.
- Allow a few minutes and avoid repeated rapid requests, which can trigger an authentication rate limit.
- Remember that Kinovo does not reveal whether an account exists for an entered address.
- Contact support if the problem continues, giving the address and approximate request time but never the old or proposed password.
Keep the account secure
- Use a password that is not reused for another service.
- Do not share passwords or reset links with a family member, Team leader, professional or Kinovo support.
- If an unexpected reset email arrives, do not use its link. Sign in directly if needed and report suspicious account activity.
- If the account is suspended, resetting the password does not restore it; contact support if you believe the suspension is incorrect.
