Confirming an email address
A new Kinovo account must confirm its email address before the first sign-in, using the secure link sent to the exact address entered during account creation.
Who this article is for
People creating a new personal or professional Kinovo account
Where to find it
- Create an account from the Kinovo sign-in page; after a successful signup, Kinovo opens the Check your email page.
- Open the confirmation email in the inbox for the address shown, then return to the Kinovo sign-in page.
What happens after account creation
Kinovo uses Supabase Auth to create the account and send its confirmation email. The signup request includes the completed security-check token and the account-profile choices, while care-team members and Kinovo support cannot see the password. When the account is accepted but does not yet have a session, Kinovo opens a confirmation page showing the address that needs to be checked.
The confirmation email is an account-security email. It is separate from Kinovo’s care-team invitations and ordinary workspace notification preferences.
Confirm the email address
- 1
Open the correct inbox
Use the email address shown on the Check your email page. For recognised providers such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, Proton Mail and Fastmail, Kinovo offers a direct link to that provider’s inbox.
- 2
Open the Kinovo confirmation email
Select the secure confirmation link. Do not forward the email or use a link intended for another account.
- 3
Return to Kinovo
After the link is verified, Kinovo returns to the sign-in page and displays Email confirmed.
- 4
Sign in
Use the confirmed email address and the password chosen during account creation. Confirmation does not keep the account automatically signed in.
If the account was created from an invitation
Use the exact email address to which the invitation was sent. Kinovo carries the intended return path through confirmation so that, after signing in, you can return to the invitation and accept it manually.
Confirming an email creates or verifies the Kinovo account; it does not itself accept a care-team invitation, grant workspace access or accept the confidentiality agreement.
If the email does not arrive
- Confirm that the address shown on the page is correct.
- Check Spam, Junk, Promotions and any organisation email quarantine.
- Allow a few minutes for the provider to deliver the message.
- Search the inbox for Kinovo and make sure you are checking the correct account.
- If the address already has a Kinovo account, return to sign in or use Forgot password instead of repeatedly creating another account.
- If the message still does not arrive, contact Kinovo support with the email address and approximate time of the attempt—never include the password.
If the link does not work
Open the complete link from the original email in a current browser. If it has expired, has already been used or cannot be verified, return to Kinovo rather than editing the URL.
If the sign-in page says the email is not confirmed after you used the link, contact support. Include what the page said and when you confirmed it, but do not send the confirmation link because it is an account-security link.
Keep confirmation links private
A confirmation link is tied to account access. Do not post it in a care-team message, forward it to another person or include it in a screenshot sent through an ordinary channel.
Still need help?
Tell Kinovo support what you were trying to do, which page you were on and what happened. Do not include sensitive care information unless support specifically asks for it through an approved channel.
